Important Information: Disney’s The Lion King
Following last Friday’s government announcement mandating that theatre audiences be limited to 50% capacity from 7 December 2021 until 9 January 2022, we have been working closely with Disney Theatrical Productions to determine how best to manage bookings for the upcoming season of The Lion King.
We are pleased to confirm that Disney’s The Lion King will take place as scheduled, however due to the government restrictions on audience numbers, we can only accommodate 50% of our usual capacity for performances from 23 December to 9 January inclusive. Unfortunately, as this is a sold-out engagement, we are unable to transfer bookings from the affected dates into later performances.
To reduce audience numbers as required, we are initially contacting all ticketholders affected by this restriction on capacity to ask if there are any bookers who no longer wish to attend the show. If you would like to claim a full refund, you can do so by clicking on the link HERE and filling out a Ticketmaster Refund Request Form. We ask that you submit this request before 8pm tomorrow, Wednesday 8 December.
Once we have processed any refund requests from patrons, we will then review our remaining audience numbers for the affected dates. In the interest of fairness in this very difficult situation, we will reorganise the performances on a “first booked, first served” basis.
We appreciate this will leave some customers disappointed and are very sorry that this is a situation we must address, but in these challenging times we believe this is the most reasonable course of action.
All ticket holders will be emailed by Ticketmaster, by close of business on Friday 10 December to confirm whether their booking will proceed as planned, or if they will be receiving a full refund.
