OFFSET returns to DUBLIN for its fifth edition
Originally an initiative of The Small Print when it begun in early 2009, in only 4 years OFFSET has become one of the world’s most important creative events, recently named in the the Top 50 Key Moments of Design History of the last 50 years by Computer Arts Magazine.
Hosting a weekend of presentations, interviews, panel discussions and debates with the very best of Irish and International designers, animators, illustrators, advertisers, artists, photographers and more live on stage. They speak about their work, ideas and inspirations and give incredible insights into their practices and personal perspectives. Independently founded and run, OFFSET has grown from 450 to 2000 delegates in its latest edition, delighted to be at home for a fourth year in the amazing Bord Gáis Energy Theatre.
Each year OFFSET attracts visitors from across the globe to attend the 3-day conference and last year delegates made their creative pilgrimage from the UK, Europe, USA, Asia and as far as Australia. There are no VIP area and no green rooms at OFFSET, the space is a democratic one facilitating both speakers and attendees and allowing both to mingle freely and settle in for three days of inspiration. The intimate surroundings of the Second Room allows delegates to get a little closer to some of the legendary speakers, who will give interviews, contribute to debates and take part in group discussions on the topics that are at the heart of the creative agenda.
This year’s line-up includes many legends to the creative industry, including Neville Brody the British graphic designer, typographer and art director known for his work on The Face magazine, as well as designing for record covers for artist such as Caberet Voltaire and Depeche Mode.
